      My Grandfather

      Jacob Worster
      Born: 10 October 1885, Village of Alexandertal
      Died: 6 October 1918, Durham, Marion County, Kansas
      Shown here in his Russian Army uniform.
      Jacob died from complications of Spanish Influenza, which had been
      brought back to Fort Riley, Kansas by America troops returning from
      Europe after World War I.




Amelia Weimer       My Grandmother

      Amelia Weimer
      Born: 2 March 1889, Village of Dobrinka
      Died: 28 June 1963, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas
      This picture is from 1909 or 1910, made in Saratov.
      Amelia and Jacob immigrated to the United States in 1910,
      after Jacob had completed his Russia Army service. Jacob's
      parents, his three brothers and sister had immigrated to
      Marion County, Kansas in 1906.
